CVs and Resumes

Curricula Vitae (CVs) is the plural of the Curriculum Vitae (or CV) and it’s basically resume-plus. You’ll want to include all the relevant information you would likely have on your resume: name + contact info, education, work experience as well as any of the following (but not necessarily including all): areas of research; grants, honors, awards; presentations + publications; employment + experience (paid or volunteer); community service; scholarly or professional memberships; relevant extracurricular activities; and references.
UNC Campus Resources:
Career Services provides appointments for resume and cv assistance for current undergrads. Alumni can seek assistance with the UNC General Alumni Association.
For some good examples, look at CVs belonging to professors, graduates and undergraduates in your field.  This will not only give you an appropriate format, it will offer insight into what kinds of opportunities you should be looking for as you develop your own career paths.
